In perhaps what could be the ending of a colorful reign, Candice Michelle succumbed to a superior and dominating Beth Phoenix at No Mercy, finally handing the glamazon the WWE Women’s championship on her second try. While the match was not lopsided in terms of competition, Phoenix just became wiser this time around in wresting the gold from the GoDaddy girl who has had quite a run for the past months.

While heart was evidently still there, Phoenix’ dominance was simply overpowering. Unlike in their previous meeting where strength was obviously not an advantage for the glamazon, this time around, she corrected her mistakes and such moves proved to be the pivotal point for the championship to change hands.

For sure, this is not yet the last of their storied rivalry as Candice will surely want to have a rematch with Beth Phoenix. She may not be wearing the belt now but just like history in any championship battle, win or lose, rematches are expected to suffice.

Perhaps it was just something that was meant to be. Candice may have miscalculated the capabilities of Beth Phoenix who has been openly questioned with regards to her capacity to become champion. While Candice has been proven, the triumph of Beth Phoenix is still half-baked. She still has to defend the belt and for sure, the first one in line for the first title-shot will be no other than the candy-coated diva herself, Candice Michelle. Just wait and see if Candice still has what it takes to reclaim her title.
