Candice Michelle put it well when she wrote on her blog that she was indeed the obvious underdog prior to her women’s title match at Vengeance against then reigning champion Melina Perez. But anything is achievable and possible through hard work and Candice proved to many that she was very much serious on making a run for the gold. The result is of course evident to most wrestling fans today where Candice has been proudly wearing the women’s title.

The road to the title for Candice was not an easy one. Taking the belt away from Melina who has worn it for quite some time now is not any normal diva can accomplish overnight. Candice toiled and trained hard to win the gold and she knows it all too well that she has to maintain that attitude if she wants the gold wrapped around her waist for long.

Such emotions and insights can be seen as to how emphatic Candice was in her first blog after winning the coveted title. Indeed, revelations on how she felt and how she prepared for the prized match could clearly be seen. While everything paid off, the rivalry between her and Melina is far from over. There will definitely be a rematch and the thought alone should send signals to Candice that the worst is yet to come for her starting title reign. But knowing the fighter in her, Candice will surely be ready since she has obviously proven that she is more than just a pretty face.
