A WWE Diva has a lot of duties to fulfill. Many people think that the WWE Divas only need to do two things – wrestle in public and look good especially when wrestling. The common perception is that, aside from the sports aspect of wrestling, the WWE Divas are just gorgeous wallflowers designed to give a little feminine attraction to the predominantly male oriented show and also give the testosterone fueled wrestling fans some requisite T & A to gawk at and fantasize about when they get home.

But WWE Divas have far more important responsibilities than we previously think. They actually act as ambassadors of the WWE – the public faces that grace important events in order to promote the company and its many projects. They act the role of public relations officers and marketing representatives for the company especially in high profile events and functions.

For example, Candice Michelle, along with some of her fellow divas like Ashley Massaro, Layla El and Kristal Marshall recently went to Las Vegas to attend the NBA All Star Weekend. The event is one of the most well attended sports related social events of the year and many celebrities are invited to attend the parties and other functions during the All Star Weekend. They are there to drum up publicity for the WWE, be seen by the paparazzi and also kick up the pre Wrestlemania hype up a notch by being at the important functions. The WWE knows that they have an effective marketing and PR weapon in Candice and the other divas and they are using it to the max.
