Candice’s take on sexuality in wrestling
January 28th, 2007
There are some quarters that are criticizing professional wrestling for putting in too much of “sexuality” in its shows what with the inclusion of such “matches” as pillow fights and very provocative storylines like WWE chairman Vince McMahon having sex slave.
When asked about this, Candice takes a much less serious take on things. First, she joked that if you are the boss then you can make people your sex slaves if you want to. But in all seriousness, she said that she actually takes pride in actually bringing a level of sexiness in the wrestling industry. She says that there are already enough men in the business so it makes people sit up and pay attention when they see a sexy woman that is most obviously hot who can also show that she can actually wrestle. Candice further added that most wrestling fans would not want to see a woman who looks like a guy who wrestles in the ring. She said that it is because you already have the men fulfilling that particular role when they wrestle inside the ring. She said that there is a level of sexiness that you feel and see when you watch an athletic woman.
Candice added that what she does is to actually emphasize her sexiness more – even saying that she does it way beyond just being a female. She says what she tries to convey to the public is of a sex goddess who actually goes out there in the arena in order to wrestle. She said that she does it so that people (especially men) will have something to look forward to and also give the whole show a welcome change of pace from the testosterone fest before it.
