I am writing this blog entry news has already come out of godaddy.com that the third commercial produced by the company for airing in the Superbowl has finally been approved by CBS. According to Bob Parsons, the CEO of GoDaddy, they were able to make three commercials for the new round of GoDaddy tv ads. But as is the policy of the TV network, anyone who proposes to want to bring their commercial for airing in the SuperBowl should have the commercials submitted to CBS for review. Unfortunately, the first two commercials were rejected by the people who evaluates the commercials.
This was quite a big blow to Bo Parsons because her really believed in the effectiveness of the commercials and how funny it was. In fact, a lot of the people he showed the commercials to loved it. Parsons believes that this very strict perusal of the commercials is a fallout of what happened with Janet Jackson and her infamous “wardrobe malfunction”. Parsons said that it was not this difficult to have commercials approved before. He has even said that he misses the good old days.
Fortunately, the third commercial has been approved by the network and Parsons has expressed happiness over this development because he can finally have another commercial (the third) airing during the SuperBowl. Parsons also liked this commercial because it features sportswomen Danica Patrick and Valerie Thompson, and of course, the GoDaddy girl herself Candice Michelle, who will be subjected to a champagne shower in this particular ad. What a great situation to be on for Candice!
